Setting Up Tally for Salesperson-Wise Reporting

To enable salesperson-wise reporting in TallyPrime, first activate the cost centre functionality. Then, you can maintain salesperson details by creating Cost Centres with the salesperson’s name.

Steps:

  1. Go to Gateway of Tally F11 (Features) F1 (Accounting Features).
  2. For to Enable ‘Cost Centres’ – Set the option “Enable cost centres” to Yes
  3. Save your settings by pressing Ctrl + A

  1. Go to Gateway of Tally Accounts Info Cost Centres Create.

  3. Assign to a Cost Category (Optional): The default cost category in Tally is “Primary”. You can create a new cost category, such as “Salesperson,” if needed. Choose the category that suits your requirement, like “Primary” or “Salesperson”

For creating a new Cost Category, Go to Gateway of Tally > Select Alter under Masters > select Cost Categories under Accounting Masters > Creates

  1. Save the cost centre by pressing Ctrl + A

  2. Select “Sundry Debtors”
  3. Select the salesperson’s cost centre to view their collection details
